Congress committee formed for elections in 4 states, this veteran got the command of Jammu and Kashmir

Jaipur : Congress has started preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in different states of the country. In this connection, on Thursday, Congress formed a screening committee for the assembly elections to be held in four states. The name of Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is also included in the list of Congress’s screening committee. Randhawa has been given the command of Jammu and Kashmir.

In fact, in view of the upcoming assembly elections, the Congress on Thursday constituted a ‘screening committee’ for Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir. According to a press release issued by the party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal, a screening committee has been formed for Haryana under the chairmanship of senior party leader Ajay Maken, Maharashtra under the chairmanship of Madhusudan Mistry, Jharkhand under the leadership of Girish Chodankar and Jammu and Kashmir under the chairmanship of Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, in-charge of Rajasthan Congress, will finalize the names of the party’s candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. Randhawa is an old Congress leader. Hence, he has been entrusted with this big responsibility. The screening committee of Congress sends the names of some potential candidates for each seat to the Central Election Committee where the names of the candidates are finalized. It is worth mentioning that assembly elections are proposed in Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand at the end of this year. While assembly elections are also likely to be held in Jammu and Kashmir this year.
