Jaipur : BJP still has candidates for eighty-four seats. While the ongoing list of Congress, which is contesting the elections without any alliance, shows the impression of familism, an attempt has been made to woo half the population by giving tickets to two women. There is a Muslim face among the seven names and the BJP is also trying to find a strong ticket through caste equations. Leaders who were close to BJP have also got a chance in the list, while the party has also made a woman leader who rebelled against Congress and contested the elections a candidate. That means, on the lines of BJP’s strategy, Congress’s focus has also been on the winning candidate.
Congress also gave tickets to two leader sons
While BJP has given tickets to the family members of leaders on two seats, Congress has also fielded two leaders’ sons in the election field. Jagmohan Meena, brother of Kirori Lal Meena, a minister in the BJP government, became the candidate from Dausa, while Shanti Meena, wife of late MLA Amritlal Meena, got the ticket from Salumber seat. Playing the sympathy card, Congress has fielded Aryan Khan, son of late MLA Zuber Khan, from Ramgarh seat and Amit Ola, son of MLA-turned-MP Brijendra Ola, from Jhunjhunu seat.
Congress gave chance to two women
Congress has also given a chance to two women out of seven seats, in which Resham Meena, who rebelled against Congress and contested the election as an independent candidate from Salumber seat, has got the ticket. Resham Meena has also been the head of Sarada. He will face BJP’s Shanti Meena. In 2018, Reshma Meena did not get a ticket from Congress and she contested the elections as an independent, due to which Congress candidate Raghuveer Meena had to face defeat. BJP MLA Amrit Lal Meena won from Salumbar. Reshma Meena was suspended from Congress after the elections. In-charge minister Ramlal Jat had got Reshma Meena to join the Congress again and now the Congress has also played a big gamble by fielding a woman in front of a woman.
There will be a contest between SC and ST in Dausa
In the Congress list, DC Bairwa has been made the candidate from Dausa seat in front of Jagmohan Meena, brother of Rajasthan government minister Kirori Lal Meena. DC Bairava is a former head and his wife is currently a sarpanch. Now the contest from Dausa, which is called a general seat, will be between SC and ST categories. In such a situation, there is every possibility of an independent candidate from general caste also contesting from this seat.
Congress gave ticket to BJP leader’s wife
The most interesting tickets have been given by Congress from Deoli Uniara and Khinvsar seats. In Khinvsar, which is said to be the stronghold of Hanuman Beniwal, Congress has made Ratan Chaudhary, wife of BJP leader Sawai Singh Chaudhary, its candidate. After his wife got the ticket, Sawai Singh Chaudhary has resigned from the primary membership of BJP. Apart from this, Congress has made KC its candidate on the recommendation of MLA-turned-MP Harish Meena from Deoli Uniara seat.
From Chaurasi, Congress placed its bet on young face Mahesh Rot.
Photos of KC Meena welcoming Kirori Lal Meena are going viral on social media. Now Rajendra Gurjar will face Congress’s KC Meena from this seat. Although Congress leader Naresh Meena has announced to contest the elections as a rebel on this seat, his entry into the electoral fray will make the contest triangular. KC Meena has been an engineer of Hindustan Zinc. Apart from this, Congress has placed its bet on young face Mahesh Rot from Chaurasi, an important seat of the tribal belt. Mahesh Rot has been in NSUI and Youth Congress. The big thing is that Congress has fielded new faces on all the seven seats and there are three seats where tickets have been given to the family members of the MPs or at their behest, hence the responsibility of victory has also been fixed on them.
