Congress is now completely desperate: Kavinder Gupta

Jammu, November 14 (IANS). Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday reacted strongly to the statements of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti.

Kavinder Gupta said that Congress is now completely desperate, so it can say anything now. Kharge Sahab should understand that no person is great or small because of his age, rather the greatness of a person is determined by his actions and conduct. He asked Kharge what he thinks about Rahul Gandhi? Does he consider them children or something else?

Responding to a statement by Mehbooba Mufti, Kavinder Gupta said that the National Conference and PDP should understand that rivers can flow anywhere and reach the plains, but the mountains cannot assume that they have everything. Just as the hand cannot accept that the stomach does not work, this approach of theirs will not work. Gupta further said that the path of our country is decided only in coordination with the entire country. We must ensure that our thinking and approach is in line with the national interest.

He said that the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir need to understand that their vision and actions are necessary not only for the state but for the entire country. His statement, in a way, exposes the self-centred and narrow viewpoint prevalent in the politics of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that we need to think for the overall development of this country and not for the benefit of any particular region or community. This is the right path, and this is necessary for the progress of the country.
