Alwar : A sad news has come out related to Rajasthan politics. Congress MLA Zubair Khan from Ramgarh assembly seat of Alwar district passed away today on Saturday (14 September). Zubair Khan’s death has caused a wave of mourning in the state Congress. He breathed his last at his own farm house at Dhai Peddi near Alwar city.
Zuber Khan’s wife gave information
Zubair Khan’s wife and former MLA Safia Zubair Khan said- We have to inform you all with sadness that respected Zubair Khan ji has passed away, Zubair ji breathed his last today (14 September 2024) at 5:50 am. Let us tell you that Zubair Khan was ill for a long time. Zubair Khan was a resident of Umred village near Alwar.
Defeat Jai Ahuja in 2023 elections
Let us tell you that Zubair Khan was an MLA on Congress ticket in 1990, 1993 and 2003. He contested elections on Congress ticket in 1998, 2008 and 2013, but was defeated by BJP’s Gyandev Ahuja. After this, the party gave ticket to his wife Safia Zubair in 2018. Who defeated BJP candidate Sukhwant Singh by more than 12 thousand votes. Zubair Khan won the 2023 assembly elections from Ramgarh seat of Alwar district by defeating BJP candidate Jai Ahuja by 19696 votes.
Ashok Gehlot expressed condolences
Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has also condoled the death of Zuber Khan. He wrote on his X handle, ‘The demise of senior Congress leader and MLA Zuber Khan is deeply saddening for all of us. Zuber Khan was fully committed to the development of his area and remained engaged in public service till the last moment. His demise is an irreparable loss. I pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members.’
