Bengaluru, November 19 (IANS). Regarding issues related to Waqf properties, BJP MLA CN Ashwath Narayan has accused the Congress party of doing appeasement politics.
He said that the Congress government issued three notices and withdrew all three. We are not doing politics, we are playing the role of a responsible opposition. When the Congress government is caught red-handed, it makes wrong statements. We have formed a team for every district. There will be a rally of people affected by the Waqf Act in the first week of December. The Congress party is engaged in politicizing this issue.
He further said that the Congress party is trying to intimidate its own MLAs. They are trying to blackmail their own MLAs by making false allegations, so that they can intimidate them. The allegation of horse trading by MLAs is baseless and far from the truth.
The Karnataka government is planning to file a case against the Maharashtra government for spreading fake information about Karnataka Guarantee Schemes. Regarding which BJP MLA CN Ashwath Narayan said that this is being said only because there are elections in Maharashtra, they will forget it tomorrow. What we did in Maharashtra is not a lie. We do not want the people of Maharashtra to be cheated like the people of Karnataka.
In fact, BJP is planning to hold protests across the state demanding resolution of issues related to Waqf properties.
State BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra has announced three teams for this. One team will be led by Vijayendra himself, while the other two will be led by Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashok and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalawadi Narayanaswamy. These teams will go to the districts to listen to the grievances of farmers, religious institutions and the public and their findings will be discussed in the upcoming Belagavi Assembly session.
