Sirohi : Under the leadership of former Chief Minister Advisor Sanyam Lodha, District Youth Congress staged a protest on Goyali Road regarding electricity problems. During the dharna, former Chief Minister Advisor Sanyam Lodha spoke on mobile to Aarti Dogra, Chairman of the three Electricity Distribution Corporation companies of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer and informed her about the electricity problem arising in Sirohi district. Sanyam Lodha told him that the burnt transformers in Sirohi district are not being replaced for 10 days.
Even after a year of filling the demand letter, 2531 connections are pending. The work of 35 KV GSS, which started one and a half years ago, has come to a standstill. Farmers are being given low voltage electricity. Due to which wires and motors are burning. On this, Aarti Dogra said that she will give instructions to Dr. Bhanwarlal, Managing Director of Jodhpur Discom, to improve the electricity situation on priority basis. After this, Lodha also spoke to Jodhpur Discom Director Dr. Bhanwarlal on phone. Who came to Sirohi this week and held a meeting with the officials of the Electricity Department and assured to review the situation.
After this, Superintendent Engineer of Electricity Department Sirohi Tarun Khatri, Tehsildar Jagdish Vishnoi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushpendra Verma reached the spot and talked to former MLA Sanyam Lodha sitting at the protest site. During this, a demand letter was submitted regarding electrical problems. The Superintending Engineer of the Electricity Department agreed to the demand and said that the burnt transformer will be replaced tomorrow, the infrastructure for the connection has been prepared. All these will be connected and power supply will start in 10 days. The remaining electricity connections whose demand forms have been filled will be connected before March 31. Sunpur GSS will be started by 31st March. The stalled work will be started soon by calling the contractor of Van-Sildar Electricity Department. Higher officials will be informed about the remaining demands.
