Jaipur : During the Question Hour in Rajasthan Assembly on Tuesday, the opposition raised the issue of giving fake grants to cow shelters and financial irregularities in MNREGA. The government has said that it will conduct an inquiry in this matter. These issues were raised today through two different questions during the Question Hour of the budget session of Rajasthan Assembly.

‘Fraudulent collection of money in MNREGA’

Congress MLA Indira Meena raised the issue of financial irregularities in MNREGA in her assembly Bamanwas and said, ‘Officials take wrong action. If questioned, they also give wrong answers. Money is being collected fraudulently in MNREGA. Rs 200 is collected from each person. If corruption is happening in such a big and important scheme of the central government, then does the government have any intention of getting it investigated? In this case, minister Otaram Dewasi could not give any correct answer at first, but he said that this matter will be investigated by a state level committee.

A letter was written to the CM for investigation

During the Question Hour, on the question of Kapasan MLA Arjun Jinagar about the fraud in the grants being given to the cow shelters, Minister Jogaram said, ‘The Rajasthan government is serious about the financial condition of the cow shelters.’ MLA Arjun Jinagar said, ‘During the Congress government, grants were taken by showing fake cow shelters at the government level. Will the government investigate this matter?’ On this, the minister replied, ‘The government will investigate this matter. A letter has been written to the Chief Minister in this regard.’ Then Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie said, ‘Does the government in Rajasthan intend to investigate the irregularities in cow shelters in the entire state?’ On this, the minister said, ‘At present, the matter has come to light from only one place.
