Jaipur : Congress has put an end to the speculations of alliance with Congress and other parties in the assembly by-elections on the lines of Lok Sabha. Regarding the allegations of nepotism, it has been clarified that if someone in the family is strong then there is no objection in giving the ticket. Congress brainstormed the names of candidates to field candidates on all the seven seats. At the same time, the state BJP has intensified the work on damage control regarding the protests that started in the assembly constituencies after the ticket distribution. Narendra Meena, who had lodged a protest in Salumbar, was called to Jaipur by charter plane and was coaxed.
No alliance, will field candidates on all seats: Dotasara
A meeting of the State Coordination Committee was called by the State Congress to discuss the by-election preparations and the names of the candidates. After the meeting, State President Govind Singh Dotasara said that the party will not form an alliance in the by-elections. State leaders are not in favor of this. State in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that there is no harm in giving tickets to strong contenders from the families of leaders.
