New Delhi, November 24 (IANS). Congress media and publicity department head Pawan Khera on Sunday slammed the Yogi government over the communal violence in Sambhal and said that there is no “safe” place in Uttar Pradesh.
Pawan Kheda said, “No citizen is ‘safe’ in Uttar Pradesh under the rule of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who gave the condemnable slogan of ‘Bantenge to Katenge’. The way videos of direct firing on protesters have surfaced in Sambhal, it is This is the result of a well-planned conspiracy by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh). Western Uttar Pradesh has been a symbol of goodwill and harmony for years. His life was taken and many people were injured.”
He blamed BJP and RSS for disturbing the harmony of Sambhal and said that the lives of the deceased have been taken by the Yogi administration.
He alleged that the administration was fully prepared to somehow spoil the atmosphere of the state through caution and caution. Earlier, during the communal violence in Bahraich, the city was handed over to rioting elements.
The Congress leader said that not taking any action against the unruly elements accompanying the survey team makes it clear that after the by-elections in the state, the Yogi government has further intensified the politics of violence and hatred. Questions are being raised on the role of police and administration, because many innocent people have lost their lives and more than 24 people have been injured in this violence.
Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogan of ‘If we are one, we are safe’ as “hollow”, he questioned what kind of message of unity is building a wall between two communities and taking lives of people.
Pawan Kheda said that mutual brotherhood and harmony is being destroyed by the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh for political selfishness. He appealed to the people of Sambhal to recognize the politics of hatred, maintain mutual unity and harmony and take steps to protect their rights through legal means.
Three people died in the violence that broke out during the survey of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday morning. The angry mob set fire to many vehicles. Police fired tear gas shells and lathicharged to control the crowd.
