Jaipur : Congress has started preparations to decide its candidates for the assembly by-elections to be held on 7 seats in the state. A feedback meeting has been called for the candidates of these seven seats at the Congress War Room in the capital Jaipur on Wednesday. The meeting will start at 11 am. State Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara will attend this meeting.

There will be a meeting of prominent Congress leaders of Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniyara, Khinvsar, Salumber, Chaurasi and Ramgarh assembly constituencies. Out of these seven seats, 6 seats were with Congress and regional parties. Although Congress had an alliance with RLP and BAP in the Lok Sabha, but in the assembly elections, Congress will contest the elections here on its own.
By-elections will be held on these 7 assembly seats in Rajasthan
Deoli Uniara Assembly seat, Congress MLA Harish Meena has now become an MP.
Dausa Assembly seat, Congress MLA Murarilal Meena has now become an MP.
Jhunjhunu Assembly seat, Congress MLA Brijendra Ola has now become an MP.
Chaurasi Assembly seat, BAP MLA Rajkumar Roat has now become an MP.
Khinvsar Assembly seat, RLP MLA Hanuman Beniwal has now become an MP.
Salumber assembly seat fell vacant due to the death of BJP MLA Amritlal Meena.
Congress MLA from Ramgarh assembly seat, Zubair Khan has also passed away.
By-election will be held for the second time on Alwar’s Ramgarh seat
By-elections will be held for the second time in Alwar’s Ramgarh assembly. Last time in the year 2018, the elections were postponed after the death of Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Laxman Singh during the election campaign. After that by-elections were held. In the 2023 assembly elections, Zuber Khan won as a Congress candidate, but now he passed away after illness.
