Jaipur : The Election Commission may not have announced the by-elections on 6 assembly seats of the state, but the political parties have started competing for tickets. Many big leaders in Rajasthan Congress have started lobbying for their favourites. At the same time, some big leaders are trying hard to get tickets in their own family. There is a discussion within the party that a glimpse of nepotism can be seen in the by-elections on two out of 6 seats. Two leaders who became MPs from MLAs are busy lobbying to get tickets in their own family. However, no one is speaking openly right now. On the other hand, the leaders who lost the MP election from Hadoti region are also not leaving any stone unturned to try their luck on the vacant seat of Tonk district. At the same time, a leader who lost the assembly election on Dausa seat is also eyeing it.
The tussle for tickets has begun in the party
On the other hand, the tussle for tickets has also begun in the party. There is a lot of talk among party leaders about tickets being given to nepotism in Shekhawati region and Eastern Rajasthan seats. However, other leaders are also lobbying for these seats. At the same time, due to low chances of alliance for seats in Marwar and tribal region, the party leaders themselves have become active in staking claim. The claimants have started running from PCC headquarters to Delhi for tickets.
The situation on the alliance is not clear
The situation in the state Congress is not clear yet about the alliance with the allies on the lines of the Lok Sabha elections. Except one or two leaders, no Congress leader is interested in forming an alliance with the allies in the by-elections. Although they are hesitant to speak openly as the high command has not yet taken any decision in this regard, but the message has definitely been conveyed from Delhi about not forming an alliance. Especially regarding the tribal area, the big leaders of the party believe that the Congress party is only getting harmed by forming an alliance. By forming an alliance, the party may lose its hold in this area in the future.
