Jaipur : After the crushing defeat in the assembly by-elections, Rajasthan Congress has started investigating the reasons for the defeat. For this, preparations are being made to take reports from the observers and in-charges appointed in the assembly constituencies. Later the state unit will send this report to the Delhi central leadership. Before the assembly by-election, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara had appointed observers, district in-charges and assembly in-charges along with other senior leaders in every assembly constituency. Everyone was asked to take up the responsibility of election campaign. Now report will be taken from these in-charges.
Told the situation was better, but the results were opposite.
It is being told that most of the leaders appointed in the election districts and assembly constituencies had said that the party’s position was good during the campaign, but the results have turned out to be the opposite. Regarding this, it will be asked that where was the deficiency, due to which the party had to face defeat. Regarding Ramgarh assembly constituency, the party was confident of victory till the last moment. But here also the party candidate was defeated by a huge margin.
Where we thought we were weak we got victory
After the by-election ticket distribution, there was discussion among the leaders within the party that the weakest candidate is in Dausa. Here big leaders even talked about match fixing, but Congress has won only on Dausa seat. The other six out of seven seats faced defeat. The deposits of the party candidates were confiscated on four seats. One of these seats is Deoli-Uniara. Here Congress had won the assembly elections in 2023.
