Jaipur : What is the mood of the people of Rajasthan. Do people trust BJP or Congress? This is beyond comprehension. In the assembly elections held in November 2023, the people of the state ousted Congress from power in Rajasthan. BJP government was formed in the state, but after four months in the Lok Sabha elections, the people expressed that they had no faith in the BJP. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP was claiming to win all 25 seats for the third time but the public reduced BJP’s hopes to 14. How did the public mood change in such a period of time? This is beyond the understanding of the leaders.
Haryana election results surprised Congress
Congress was happy with the results of the Lok Sabha elections because people expressed confidence in the Congress which had not won even a single seat twice in a row. Congress, which could not win a single seat in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, managed to win 11 seats in the 2024 elections. Congress formed an alliance on 3 seats while it managed to win on 8 seats on its own. Rajasthan Congress leaders were very excited by this victory. Now when the assembly elections came in Haryana, the Congress high command sent an army of leaders from Rajasthan to Haryana. Many MPs, former ministers and other leaders including Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Govind Singh Dotasara, Tikaram Julie were engaged in the Haryana election campaign. Congress had full hope that Congress would get a huge majority in Haryana but the results came contrary to expectations. Haryana’s election results have surprised Rajasthan Congress leaders. The leaders are not able to understand what is the mood of the people.
Congress worried about by-elections
Congress leaders of Rajasthan were in great enthusiasm after the Lok Sabha elections, but after the results of Haryana Assembly elections came out, the enthusiasm of the leaders evaporated. Now by-elections are going to be held on seven assembly seats of Rajasthan in the coming days. Congress leaders are worried about these by-elections. Leaders are not able to sense the mood of the public. It is beyond understanding what the public wants. If they are happy with the policies of Congress then why did they not support Congress in Rajasthan and Assembly elections. If you are happy with the policies of BJP then why did you support Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. Now in whose favor are the people of 7 assembly constituencies going to go in the by-elections? Congress leaders are in a dilemma regarding this.
Only Congress has to be achieved and saved.
Instead of BJP, Congress is worried about the assembly by-elections because Congress has to save four seats and also capture three other seats. Ramgarh (Alwar), Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Deoli Uniara seats were with Congress, it is necessary to save them. Besides, Congress also wants to register victory in Khinvsar, Chaurasi and Salumber seats. On the other hand, for BJP the only thing is to achieve. There is nothing to lose. The seven seats on which by-elections are going to be held. Of those, only one seat, Salumber, was held by the ruling party BJP. In such a situation, Congress leaders are more worried than BJP.
