Bhilwara : the consecration of the Shiva Mahapuran Katha and the 51 feet high statue of Shanidev will be organized from 20th November to 27th November at Gangotri Dham of Lachhura. Kalash Yatra will be taken out on the first day i.e. 20th November. Sahastradhara Abhishek will take place on 27th November at 7:15 am. On November 27, at 9:15 am, there will be a Sangam of Pran Pratistha and Prabhat Pheri of 51 villages. Bhandara will start from 11:15 am. Shanidev was brought from Singanapur to Lachhura.
Social worker Tarachand Mewada told that 9 laborers and artisans made the idol of Shanidev with cement and iron rods. It took about 4 months to make the statue. About Rs 16 lakh was spent on its construction. The 51 feet high statue of Shanidev is the tallest statue of the district. A 6000 feet deep oil tank has been built beneath the statue. Oil will be collected in it. When oil is poured on the feet of the statue, it will be directly collected in this tank. A seven-day Shiva Mahapuran Katha will be organized in Gangatri Dham Lachhuda. Krishna Priya of Vrindavan will read the story from 12:15 pm to 4 pm every day from 20th November to 27th November. Storyteller Krishna Priya reached Lachuda late on Tuesday evening and was welcomed by the villagers.
A 90 by 200 feet pandal was made for the story. All the temples of Lachhuda village were also decorated. The idol of Shani Dev was also decorated with lighting. On Wednesday, the day of the inauguration of the Katha, the artists from Delhi will present a tableau from 8 pm onwards. The 7-day festival will begin with the Kalash Yatra at 8:15 am. Panch Kundiya Mahayagya will also be held. Yagyacharya will be Pandit Suresh Shastri Lachhuda. Bhajan evening will be held on 26th November at 8:15 pm.
