Tonk : A constable resident of village Hamzapura of Gram Panchayat Borkhandikalan of Jhirana police station area of Peeplu subdivision area died in a road accident late Wednesday night. Peeplu Police Deputy Superintendent Deshraj Kuldeep said that Dhara Singh (33) son of Gularam Meena, a resident of Hamzapura of the area, was posted at Diggi police station. On Wednesday night at around 10 o’clock, he was part of the patrol team along with Head Constable Suresh Chaudhary, Constable Kajod, 112 driver Vikas. He stopped the vehicle near Chandsen Dam and went to the other side of the road to use the bathroom. While returning, a tractor driver going from Malpura to Jaipur hit Dhara Singh while driving carelessly. He was seriously injured. Later he was taken to Diggi Hospital where Dhara Singh died within 15 minutes. The police conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to his family. The deceased has two children.
He was smart in studies
Borkhandi Kalan Sarpanch Ramlal Meena said that Dhara Singh was intelligent in studies. He got a job in the railways in 2014. Then after giving the exam, he got a job as a jail guard about one and a half years later. Then after a few months, he joined the RAC as a constable. The fourth job was in Rajasthan Police in 2018. Dhara Singh had a dream of becoming an RAS. For this, he used to prepare for the RAS exam most of the time he got after duty. After Dhara’s death, there was an uproar in the village Hamzapura, Borkhandi Kalan including the family members.

Constable Dhara Singh was cremated with state honours by giving a guard of honour in his village. According to information, the deceased’s children, wife and niece were living in Avikanagar (Malpura). Dhara Singh had three brothers, of whom he was the second oldest. The police cremated Dhara with state honours in his native village. During this, Malpura deputy Rajendra Kumar, Peeplu deputy Deshraj Kuldeep, Diggi police station officer Captain Singh, Jhirana police station officer Rajesh Gurjar, Borkhandikalan sarpanch Ramlal Meena along with other police officers and policemen, public representatives and villagers were present.
