Constitution is our self-respect, we will even sacrifice our lives for it: Manoj Kumar

New Delhi, December 1 (IANS). A mega rally was organized by Doma Parishad on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and MP from Sasaram Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar Manoj Kumar also attended.

Manoj Kumar, in conversation with IANS, reacted to the violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. He said, “You can go there and ask people what happened. Just like people were shot in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, similar cruelty has happened here. It is not written anywhere in the Constitution that you can shoot someone from the front. Will kill. If someone has committed a mistake, there is a law to punish, but the police is shooting from the front.”

He said that today the Constitution is in danger. On one side are those who are putting the Constitution in danger and on the other side are those who are saving the Constitution. I am an MP from Sasaram, Bihar. You must have seen during the Lok Sabha elections that big people of BJP had said in the election meetings that they will change the Constitution. But what happened?

Manoj Kumar said, “We all are with Rahul Gandhi. We guarantee the security of the Constitution of India. If necessary, we are ready to shed blood from the House to the streets to save the Constitution. There is no harm to the Constitution.” Will let us come. Constitution is our self-respect, we will even give our lives for it.”

On the controversial statement of Maharashtra Congress leader Bhai Jagtap, he has said that our fight is against those who do wrong. Even if he is our brother. I think he should not have used such language. We will not save people who do wrong. Whoever is guilty in the Sambhal incident should be caught and given strict punishment.
