Jaipur : The state government will soon determine other routes of Jaipur Metro. For this, the government has started the process of appointing a traffic-transport consultant. On the recommendation of the consultant, the government will prepare the DPR after marking the new routes of the metro and surveying them. MLA Gopal Sharma asked in a question in the assembly whether the government is thinking of conducting a survey to expand the metro train project keeping in mind the increasing population of Jaipur. So the government said this in response to this question.

Let us tell you that in Jaipur, the metro is currently operating between Kisan Dharm Kanta (Mansarovar) located at Gopalpura bypass and Badi Chaupad. The work of expanding this route from both ends is going on at the spot. In this, the route will be extended from Badi Chaupad to Transport Nagar, while from Kisan Dharm Kanta to Ajmer Road 200 feet culvert.
Work on revised DPR of Phase-2
Currently, work is underway on revising the DPR prepared by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation for Phase-2 from Sitapura to Ambabari. In the interim budget presented in February this year, the Finance Minister had announced the extension of the metro from Ambabari to Vidyadhar Nagar. Apart from this, work is underway to conduct a survey on the route and its DPR will be prepared.
New routes are also being considered
According to sources, new metro routes are also being considered in Jaipur. In this, a route of more than 10 kms length is also being considered from Kisan Dharmkanta in Mansarovar via New Sanganer Road Mansarovar to Sanganer Open Jail Pulia to Sanganer. This will provide connectivity to lakhs of people living in Mansarovar, Prithviraj, Patrakar Colony.
