‘Contempt of democratic values’ Hanuman Beniwal raised a big question on the swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed MLA

Jaipur News Desk: The swearing-in ceremony of seven MLAs elected in the assembly by-elections was held on Tuesday (December 3) in Rajasthan. Newly appointed MLAs from Dausa, Khinvsar, Chaurasi, Jhunjhunu, Ramgarh, Deoli Uniara and Salumber participated in it. The swearing-in ceremony of the MLAs was organized in the chamber of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani. Now Hanuman Beniwal has raised questions regarding organizing the oath ceremony. He has said that this is a contempt of democratic values. Hanuman Beniwal has expressed his views through an X post on social media. In which he has expressed objection regarding the swearing-in ceremony. At the same time, Congress and Bhajanlal Sharma have also been surrounded.

Why did Hanuman Beniwal object?
Hanuman Beniwal wrote on his And lakhs of voters elect him and send him. Whereas there has been a parliamentary tradition in the Assembly that the oath of MLAs has been taken only during the Assembly session. But the Speaker of the Assembly kept the oath taking program of the MLAs elected from Khinvsar and other assembly constituencies in his own room (office) instead of in the House.

Beniwal said, the way the newly elected MLAs were searched at the western gate located on the main road, they were made to walk more than 200 meters to enter the assembly. Whereas, as soon as the newly elected MLA is declared the winner of the election, all the facilities available as an assembly member start.

In the oath taking ceremony of newly elected MLAs in the Rajasthan Assembly today, Assembly Speaker Shri @VasudevDevnani was seen establishing authoritarianism by disregarding democratic values, since any MLA is the representative of the people of the concerned area and lakhs of voters elect him…

In such a situation, the newly elected MLA could go to the assembly in any vehicle. But the scene was seen at the gate of the Assembly and after counting, the people accompanying the MLAs were given entry. This scene is an insult to those MLAs as well as the people of that area. Who voted and sent those MLAs to this holy house.

Beniwal also cornered Congress

Beniwal said that in this entire matter, there is not even any statement from the leaders of Congress, the second largest party in the Assembly, and the State Congress. This is showing that those responsible in the Congress Party of Rajasthan do not even care about the dignity of the MLAs. Since the Chief Minister is the leader of the House, my demand from CM Bhajan Lal is that he should give a statement on this issue and the increasing authoritarianism somewhere in the country. Today Vasudev Devnani showed its reflection in the Assembly. Instead of taking the oath in a hurry, it would have been better if the Speaker of the Assembly had called a special session so that the current situation in Rajasthan could have been discussed along with the oath.
