Rajasthan : The Meteorological Department has expressed strong possibility of more than normal rainfall in many parts of the state this month. Talking about the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in eastern Rajasthan. The situation was similar in western Rajasthan. There is a possibility of rain in many districts today as well. IMD has just issued a double alert for rain in many districts.

There will be heavy rain within 2 hours

According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, a period of heavy rain is going to start in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand, Sirohi, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Pali districts. An orange alert for rain has been issued here for two hours. Along with this, there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rain in Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Barmer, Sriganganagar, Banswara, Bhilwara, Jodhpur, Pratapgarh, Sikar districts.

Rajasthan’s weather will be like this in the coming days

Monsoon will remain active in Rajasthan in the coming days. As on Monday, heavy rains occurred in many districts including the capital Jaipur. Today also rains may occur in Alwar, Sikar, Ajmer and Nagaur. Light to moderate rains are expected in some parts of Rajasthan, especially in the southern and eastern regions. Heavy rains may also occur at some places. Monsoon activities will remain active in different parts of Rajasthan, due to which the weather may remain unstable.

269 ​​dams of the state are full in 2 months

In Rajasthan, during the 60 days of monsoon, this time there has been 8 percent more water inflow as compared to last year. 269 dams of the state are filled to the brim and inflow of water has increased in 300 dams. At the same time, inflow of water is continuing in more than 100 dams and the engineers of the Water Resources Department are expecting them to be full soon. The total filling capacity of 691 small and big dams of the state is 12900 million cubic meters and now 73.14 percent of the total filling capacity in the dams has been filled. Meanwhile, inflow of water is also continuing in Bisalpur Dam, which provides drinking water to Jaipur, Ajmer and Tonk districts.
