Controversy over Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal ERCP link project ends during CM Bhajan Lal’s visit to Delhi

Jaipur : A big good news has emerged from the visit of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to Delhi. On Thursday, a three-tier meeting was held in Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil between Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma and MP CM Mohan Yadav. The disputes related to Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal-ERCP Link Project were resolved between Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Central Government today in the office of Jal Shakti Ministry located at Shramshakti Bhawan. Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and senior officials of the central and state governments were present in the meeting.

Redressal of pending disputes, MOA will be formed soon

After the meeting, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that in the review meeting held today on Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal-ERCP Link Project, the pending disputes between the two states have been resolved with the cooperation of the Union Jal Shakti Ministry. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) contract of this project is going to be signed soon.

CM said- Governments of both the states are working in the interest of the public.

CM Sharma further said that the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are working together in the interest of the people of both the states. He said that in this direction, work is being done on a large scale on the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal-ERCP link project in both the states and its results will be visible soon.

Water related issues were discussed between the two states

He said that in the meeting, various development works related to Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, water resources management, water distribution system in border areas and water related issues between the two states were also discussed in depth. Implementation of water harvesting with the help of NGOs for water conservation in Rajasthan was discussed and emphasis was also laid on reviving water storage structures.
