Pratapgarh News Desk: On Monday, tension spread in the Velocity area of Water Works Road of the city over the removal of Mataji’s statue from an Otley and damage to the Otley built here. Police and administration officials reached the spot after receiving the information and pacified the matter. The measurement of the said land was done there. Took reports from both sides in this regard. Only after this the matter could be calmed down. People have accused the land mafia of destroying the statue. Kotwali police station officer Deepak Banjara said that unknown people removed the statue of Mataji located on the platform at the entrance of the Velocity area of the city.
The platform was also damaged. Due to which the people of the area became angry. On information, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Kantadevi of Mahila Mandal of the locality told that the statue of Bholenath was installed two years ago on the platform built at the entrance of the colony. There is no road of any kind here. After installing the statue of Mataji, construction work is going on here for the last one month. During the construction work here in the afternoon, when there were no workers, unknown people vandalized the statue. On receiving the information, a large number of women associated with Mahila Mandal and officials of Hindu organizations gathered at the spot. People feared that the land mafia had demolished the statue to make way for it. Strict legal action should be taken against them. Police reached the spot and pacified the matter. Meanwhile, people installed a new statue here.
