These days many cases of corruption are coming to light in Jaipur : Rajasthan Roadways. Recently a case came to light from Jhalawar in which 51 passengers were traveling in a bus. But when the flying team checked the tickets of the passengers, it was found that 46 out of 51 passengers were ticketless. At the same time, this matter is not of only one district. Rather this is happening in many districts. In such a situation, the roadways management has started action on this.
Roadways management is taking strict action against ticketless passengers found in buses or personnel found involved in corruption. Actions like suspending such personnel and imposing APO are being taken.
Transport Minister ordered action
On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, important steps are being taken to increase the revenue earning of roadways buses and to provide better facilities to the common people, while action is also being taken against corrupt personnel. Managing Director Purushottam Sharma said that action has been taken against 7 such employees of various depots who were found involved in corruption and found ticketless passengers in the vehicle.
Four conductors of Vidyadhar Nagar, Baran, Anupgarh, Lohagarh Depot have been suspended by taking disciplinary action due to serious cases of traveling without tickets during vehicle inspection. Two assistant traffic inspectors of Delhi Depot and the operator of Matsya Nagar Depot have been kept awaiting posting orders.
He said that as a result of the strict actions being taken by the Roadways Management on the initiative of Corporation Chairman Shubhra Singh, the income of the Roadways is increasing and the Roadways is also making new records in terms of passenger load.
