Alwar, 23 November (IANS). Counting of votes for Ramgarh assembly by-election is going on in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Counting of votes is taking place at Babu Shobharam Government Arts College, where counting of votes will be completed in a total of 22 rounds.
Alwar District Collector Artika Shukla said that the counting of votes started at 8:00 am. In the first phase, postal ballots were counted. After that the counting of votes is being done through EVM (Electronic Voting Machine).
The Collector also informed that the process of counting of votes has started on time. Keeping in view the security arrangements at the counting venue, the administration has made strict arrangements. Alwar district administration has made three separate gates from where the concerned people will be given entry. Media will get entry from one gate, departmental officers will enter from the second gate and candidates and booth agents will enter from the third gate. This will ensure that every person gets entry as per his responsibility and there is no disturbance.
He further said that more than 800 police personnel have been deployed for security. Apart from this, paramilitary force personnel have been specially deployed to transport the EVM machines. CCTV cameras have also been installed at the counting venue so that any irregularities can be monitored and the entire process is conducted in a transparent manner.
