Pali : A couple living in Pali district of Rajasthan committed suicide. On Friday, both of them talked on the phone for some time. After that the wife hanged herself in her parental home. When her family called her husband, he was driving a truck at that time. He heard the call and after that he stopped the truck on the roadside and hanged himself there. In a single moment, friendship of many years, love and marriage of three months came to an end.
They got married three months ago
Actually, truck driver Jivraj Singh and Sonam Kanwar, residents of Sikar district, got married three months ago. Both were in love for several months and after that both got married. Sojat police station of Pali district said that Jivraj Singh was a resident of Laxmangarh in Sikar. He was about 45 years old. Some time ago his first wife died. After that he came in contact with Sonam Kanwar, a resident of Sikar. Both knew each other for several months and were in love.
“Because of you I am facing death”
A few days ago, Sonam had gone to her parental home and Jivraj Singh had left with his truck. He was going out of the state with granite loaded from Jalore district. On Friday, he spoke to his wife, they had an argument over something and later Sonam disconnected the call. After some time, Sonam’s family called Jivraj and said that Sonam committed suicide because of you.
The last location was searched and he was found hanging from a noose
Jivraj was devastated to hear this and he made his phone unreachable. On the other hand, when Jivraj’s elder brother got the news of Sonam’s death, he called his younger brother Jivraj. But the phone was switched off. When he searched the last location, he found out that the truck was in Pali district. He contacted the police there and informed the police about the location. On Saturday, the police found the truck but the truck driver was found hanging.
Burn us together… don’t leave us alone
A suicide note was found near the deceased, in which it was written that my Sonu left me. We had promised to stay together forever. But now burn us together. Do not leave us alone. The family has cremated both of them on the same pyre. Sonam’s family has accused Jivraj’s family of harassing her for dowry.
