Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer On Wednesday, ADJ Court in Pokaran sentenced the accused to 4 years of rigorous imprisonment in a 12 year old NDPS case. In this case, on December 23, 2011, the then SHO of Phalsund police station, Mangilal Vishnoi, received information through an informer that Rawataram sells Doda Post illegally at his vegetable shop in Ratadiya village.
The police station officer along with Japte raided the shop of the accused and recovered 9 kg of illegal doda poppy. The police arrested the accused Ravataram and presented him in the court. On Wednesday, Judge Narendra Kumar Khatri found the accused Ravataram guilty under the NDPS Act and punished him with 4 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000. Additional Public Prosecutor Samander Singh Rathod appeared on behalf of the state.
