Bhilwara News Desk: The atmosphere heated up after a cow was hit by a Rajasthan Roadways bus and died. Angry people blocked the road, demanding action against the careless driver. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after consulting the people, the protest which lasted for about an hour ended after accepting the demands. During this time, there was a queue of vehicles on both sides of the road.
The matter is of Bhimganj police station area of the city. A bus of Roadways Depot coming from Kota to Bhilwara on Nehru Road of the police station area hit a cow roaming on the road. The cow died on the spot in the accident. After the accident, angry people blocked the road. Within some time a large number of cow devotees and other people gathered. They blocked Nehru Road demanding action against the negligent driver. Due to road blockage, there was a queue of vehicles.
On receiving the information, Subhash Nagar police station reached the spot and tried to understand the people. After about an hour of consultation and assurance of prompt action on the demands, people’s anger subsided and the traffic jam was cleared.
CO City Manish Badgujar said that today after receiving information about the death of a cow due to collision with a roadways bus on Nehru Road, he reached the spot and explained to the people. The main demand of the people was that the route of roadways buses should be changed, roadways buses should not pass from the market in the middle of the city. Along with this, people say that there is no speed breaker on this route. In view of the demand of the people, Municipal Corporation and Roadways officials were called and shown the opportunity. Officials of both the departments have assured to solve the problems. People have agreed on this and the jam has been cleared, if any report is given then action will be taken on it.
