Cows used to enter the fields of Kota Brahmapura village, now a cowshed has been built.

Kota : People of Brahmapura village of Kota Panchayat built Shri Krishna Brahma Goshala on their own for the destitute cows. It is being operated with public cooperation for the last 10 years. Apart from providing service to cows, it is also helping in protecting the crops during the season. Earlier, cattle used to enter the fields and cause damage. After this the villagers took a unanimous decision in 2014. After this, a cow shed was built between the village and the forest. Since then it is being operated continuously without government support. At present there are more than 150 cows in the cowshed. The special thing is that the care, fodder, water and health of the cows are taken care of regularly.

This is how inspiration was received: Former Sarpanch Chandraprakash Lodha, Brahmapur resident Devi Lal Lodha, Bajrang Lal, Hemraj Lodha, Ramchandra, Motilal Lodha told that the cows used to enter the crops growing and blooming in the fields and cause damage along with eating them. The enlightened people of the village unanimously started keeping the cows at a place like a cowshed near the village. Apart from this, people are happily operating it due to the help in keeping the crops safe. Now there is no loss in crops in both the seasons of the year. Doctors come for treatment. Gosevak has been hired by the committee to look after the cows in the cowshed.

When a cow falls ill, a personal doctor is called. Seeing the abandoned cows wandering in the villages of the area, the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat and many people formed a committee and started taking care of the cows. Arrangements are being made in the cowshed with the cooperation of the people. At present there are about 150 cows here. A committee was formed in 2014 for the operation of cowshed and grazing arrangements. In this cowshed built on public land on the bank of the village pond, sheds have been installed with public cooperation. One room is filled with chaff and maize fodder. There is always a person there to take care of the cows.
