Jammu, November 15 (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Tariq Hameed Karra on Friday said cricket and terrorism should not be linked together over India’s decision not to visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
Karra said, “What does the Congress party or any other political party have to do with it? Personally, I have no interest in cricket. I believe that politics and sports should not be mixed. Sports is a Played with a different spirit, it should not be linked to political matters.
In response to a question asked on Guru Parv, he said that Guru Nanak ji was born not only for the Sikh community but for the entire world. Nanak Ji’s teachings were against caste discrimination and in today’s divisive politics, we hope that Nanak Ji’s blessings remain upon us and harmony and brotherhood prevail.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir has faced many difficulties for so long and we want happiness and prosperity to return here once again. Let us live here with brotherhood.
