Child Welfare Committee wrote to the police station- an attempt was made to rape

A horrific case similar to the Nirbhaya incident of Delhi has come to light in Jaisalmer. Here a 15-year-old minor girl told the police that a few days ago her mother’s lover tried to do bad things with her, when she refused, he beat her up and poured hot oil in her private part. Then she was kept locked in a room for two days. Due to lack of treatment, when the burnt part started stinking, her mother took her to the hospital. But after this, she was beaten up on 30 June, so she ran away from home and stayed in Jawahar Hospital overnight. The next day she told the traffic police everything. Then the Mahila Thana Police registered a case under Section 323/324 (assault) instead of POCSO and handed over the minor to the Child Welfare Committee. Now on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, Mukesh Vyas, wrote a letter to the police and told that an attempt was made to rape the girl.
