Jodhpur : Cyber thugs use new methods every day to cause financial loss to people. Customers of post offices across the country have now come under the target of fraudsters who have been duping people by using their bank address, bank account, PAN number. Recently, seeing the update message going viral in the name of address delivery in the post office, the postal department has issued a warning to people on social media and advised them to be cautious of such messages. Actually, in the name of address update in the post office, cyber thugs are sending an SMS to people, in which it is written that they have an article. Which has to be delivered, but the delivery address is not updated. A link is being sent to update the delivery address. By clicking on this link, the bank account of mobile users can be hacked. The postal department itself has denied sending such messages.

Do not click on links from unknown sources as these may take you to a fake website from where the mobile can be hacked.
Be careful about SMS asking for personal information, it may be fake.
Before replying to a message, also look at the language and characters of the message.
Do not give bank or credit card information through SMS.
No legitimate companies collect personal information via SMS or phone calls.
Use strong passwords. Avoid using the same password repeatedly.
Use two-step authentication.
Do not click on any unknown links.
