Cyber ​​fraud with student in Bharatpur district, complaint registered

Bharatpur News Desk: A case has come to light of cyber fraudsters cheating a law student preparing for competitive exams of Rs 97 thousand online by hacking his phone. After coming to know of the fraud, the youth lodged an online complaint on the National Cyber ​​Crime Bureau’s central number 1930. Besides, a written report has also been given in Bayana Kotwali police station. Vatan Agarwal son of Vishwambhar Dayal, resident of Subhash Chowk of Bayana town, told that he has an account in PNB bank. On which he has a phone-pay account.

He had about one lakh rupees in his account. On Friday, between 10 am and 1.30 pm, unknown fraudsters hacked his phone-pay and withdrew Rs 97 thousand 169 from his account six times. This amount has been transferred to the UPI ID of Gajendra Kumar Khangar and Lokesh Meena through Phone Pay. The victim told that after hacking the phone, the fraudsters took all the messages and OTP of the mobile themselves. On checking the phone at around 5 pm, it was discovered that the money had been withdrawn. After withdrawing Rs 5,000 for the first time, the fraudsters also transferred Rs 10 to the victim’s account. After coming to know about the fraud, the victim also went to the bank, but could not get relief. SI Kartar Singh said that the complaint is being investigated.
