Jaipur : Cyber fraudsters are throwing a trap of fraud on the police itself. In police stations, thugs are making calls to soldiers and SHOs by posing as SPs. First, by becoming SP, he is giving orders to run a campaign against bookies. After this, the thugs are demanding money from the soldiers on the pretext of information. The police were deceived that he or his partner would join the gambling gang. Claiming that a mobile with ‘key pad’ is necessary for giving information, they are asking for money in the name of purchasing it. Police have become alert after receiving such calls.
Couldn’t commit crime due to police’s strict response
According to police sources, about half a dozen of cyber fraudsters have called policemen. Some of them are police officers and some are RPS officers. After hearing the strict reply from the police, the cyber fraudsters switch off their phones.
However, even if a policeman is cheated of money, he does not file a report. Till now, no such case of cheating by a policeman has come to light. Police investigation revealed that cyber fraudsters from Jharkhand and Mumbai were making calls from Jharkhand, Mumbai and other states to defraud them.

After coming to know about the handiwork of cyber fraudsters, policemen are alerting each other. Some are contacting on WhatsApp group and some are contacting on personal level and giving advice to avoid such fraudsters.
calls come from unknown number
If any policeman is getting a call from an unknown number and asking for money transaction, then money transaction should not be done on the basis of phone. Even if someone contacts you posing as an informer, first meet him two-three times. Only after that one should trust that person.
