Kota : After Delhi, the administration has started taking precautions in Kota city of Rajasthan as well. Libraries and coaching centers built in basements are being closed and warnings are being given not to open them during the entire rainy season. It has been raining continuously for 3 days in Kota and it is expected to continue in the coming days. After the death of three students in the Rau IAS coaching accident in Delhi, the Rajasthan government has taken a lesson and started taking action.
High alert in Kota after Delhi incident
Fire officer Rakesh Vyas in Kota said that Kota is a coaching hub. There are underground facilities at many places where coaching is going on or libraries are running. On Monday, with the help of Kota Municipal Corporation and police, 14 such places were sealed where children were studying in the basement sitting in the library. Rainwater was coming into a basement for 2 consecutive days. Apart from this, searches were conducted at more than 20 places in Kota even today. In many places, there was chaos in libraries and coaching institutes. No resources were seen to protect from rain.
Many coaching institutes are built underground in Kota
It is noteworthy that Kota is the biggest coaching hub of Rajasthan. Students from all over the country come here to study. Every year more than 1.5 lakh children come here with the dream of becoming doctors and engineers. Most of them take coaching here and stay in PG and hostels here. This kind of action is being taken for the first time in Kota when the buildings built underground are being investigated.
Heavy rain in Kota
Kota’s fire officer Amjad Khan said that this round has been started from Monday. Instructions have been received to check the entire Kota. Mostly those places are being checked where a large number of students come. Apart from this, those places are also being targeted where underground factories are running. It is raining continuously in Kota. In such a situation, the problem of water logging is also coming to the fore at many places.
