Mumbai, December 8 (IANS). Hindi cinema’s great actress Sharmila Tagore is celebrating her 80th birthday on Sunday. The veteran actress was congratulated by fans along with all the stars of the film industry on social media. Sharmila was congratulated in a ‘cool’ style by her daughter-in-law and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.
By sharing pictures on Instagram showing unique moments of mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and grandson, Kareena has asked a question to the users. It is written, “Tell me who is the coolest gangsta (coolest gang member) ever? Do I need to tell? Happy birthday to my mother-in-law. ,
Kareena shared three pictures on social media platform Instagram. In one of which the actress is seen smiling with her mother-in-law. There is a random click in which both are sitting together. Sharmila has put a hair roller in her hair. The second is Sharmila’s solo click. She is wearing a pink gown. In the third picture, Sharmila is captured with grandson Jeh.
Sister-in-law Saba Pataudi commented on Kareena’s post. He wrote, “Happy birthday to you mother.”
Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore debuted in the film ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’ in 1964. Produced and directed by Shakti Samant, the film starred Shammi Kapoor, Pran, Madan Puri in the lead role along with Sharmila.
After ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’, the actress did ‘Gulmohar’, ‘Eklavya’, ‘Rani Suhasini’, ‘Phool N Final’, ‘Shubh Muhurat’, ‘Dhadkan’, ‘Man Aashiq Awara’, ‘Hum To Chale Pardes’, ‘ New Delhi Times’, ‘One is better than the other’, ‘Inhuman’, ‘Anari’, ‘Griha Pravesh’, ‘Tyaag’, ‘There should be a palace of dreams’, Worked in successful films like ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Paap Aur Punya’, ‘Amar Prem’, ‘Chhoti Bahu’, ‘Suhana Safar’, ‘Aradhana’, ‘Satyakaam’, ‘Anupama’. Sharmila was considered a bold actress of that era. She was seen in a swimsuit in the film ‘An Evening in Paris’.
Not only this, she wore a two-piece bikini for the August 1966 issue of Filmfare magazine. There was an uproar even in the Parliament regarding this.
