Dausa Congress’ DC Bairwa and MP Murarilal cast their vote in Dausa.

Dausa : Voting has started for the assembly by-election in Dausa. Voting started at 7 am at 240 polling stations in the area. Where people are coming to vote. There are 12 candidates in the fray for the by-election. There is a close contest between BJP candidate and minister Kirori Meena’s brother Jagmohan Meena and Congress candidate DC Bairwa. 2 lakh 46 thousand 20 voters will exercise their franchise in the by-election to be held today. For this, a team of four personnel and 60 micro observers have been deployed.

Apart from this, 28 polling parties have been reserved and 16 additional reserves have been kept. To increase the enthusiasm of the voters, booths were made on the theme of Pink Booth, Youth, PWD. The seat was vacant after Murarilal became MP. Murarilal Meena of Congress was elected MLA in the 2023 assembly elections by defeating Shankar Sharma of BJP. After this, Congress Party made MLA Murarilal its candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He was elected MP by defeating BJP candidate Kanhaiyalal Meena. After which this seat became vacant due to Murarilal’s resignation from the post of MLA.
