Dausa MLA launches pulse polio campaign

Dausa : Under the Pulse Polio Campaign in the block, the campaign of administering polio medicine to children up to 5 years of age was started by MLA Bhagchand Tankra on Sunday by administering medicine to the children in the Upazila Hospital. Block Chief Medical Officer Dr. Banwari Lal Kumhar said that teams of 1044 members have been deployed for a total of 405 booths, mobile teams and transit teams in Bandikui, Basava and Baijupada blocks. Who will play their role in making the polio campaign successful. Also, a total of 52 supervisors will effectively monitor the polio campaign in the entire block.

Block Program Officer Lokesh Khandelwal said that a target has been set to administer polio medicine to a total of 54792 children in Bandikui block. The children who will be deprived of medicine on Sunday will be given polio medicine on Monday in rural areas and on Monday and Tuesday in Bandikui urban areas. Polio teams will go door-to-door and administer the medicine. All health workers have been trained for this. Assistant Programmer Gajendra Kumar, in charge of Pulse Polio, said that to ensure that not even a single child is deprived of polio medicine, mobile teams will administer medicine at the high risk areas of Bandikui block, brick kilns and car blacksmith places. Apart from this, transit teams will also be at bus stands and Medicines will be given to children at the railway station also.
