Two and a half to three thousand plants of winter laurel are being sold in other nurseries including Kala Kuan, Naya Bass, Tijara Phatak, Malviya Nagar, Ghodafer Ka Chauraha of the city. Dahlia, Chrysanthemum, Petunia, Aster, Salvia, Gazania, Vincarocia, Mary Gold and dianthar flowers are being liked very much. People fond of gardening have planted plants in their home gardens as well as on terraces and balconies. These plants are also being liked a lot for indoor decoration. They are being gifted on special events like birthdays, wedding anniversaries. Even in weddings, decoration of marigold, chrysanthemum, rose etc. is being done which is attracting people.
Starting from Rs 25: Nursery manager Shyamlal Saini says that the sale of flower plants is at its peak in winter. The price of these plants starts from Rs 25 to Rs 300. The blooming of flowers starts from November and continues till February-March. City residents like to bring different types of winter flowers to scent their gardens. They bloom well even in small pots. They should get proper sunlight. Yellow, red, blue, white winter lovage look very nice.
