People consume a lot of sesame oil in winter. In such a situation, with time, oil is being extracted and sold from electric machines in urban areas as well as rural areas. Spleen oil is beneficial and effective. One kg is being sold in the market at Rs 350 per kg. According to the information, with the arrival of Kharif oilseed crops in the market, the demand and consumption of sesame oil increases in the winter season. This is the ancestral work of Rathore Teli community in the district. People from about 100 families are doing this business in the district. There has been a change in work in the modern era.
Manmohan Ajmera, associated with the society, said that earlier the filth was taken out using bulls. About seven kilos of spleen was put into it. Changes were seen in it with the changing times. Ghani’s oil moved towards modernity. Now the electric machine is extracting oil by adding more oil in less time. In the past, the cake produced from it was used to feed bulls and cows, but now it is also being used in farming.

Earlier, it used to take at least three to four hours to make a wooden ghani. With the advent of electric machines, time was also saved and more spleen oil started coming out in less time. At present, most of the wooden planks and chisels have been replaced by iron ones. About 250 to 300 kg of sesame oil is being extracted daily in the district. However, some families traditionally work on extracting sesame and mustard oil, which is also the main source of income for the people of this society. Their business also remains booming due to bumper arrival of oilseed crops. Its demand is especially high in winter. Its sesame seeds (Jagal) are also in demand, which is tasty and beneficial. In this, along with jaggery, dry fruit and copra are also used.
