Demand for removal of Jalore teacher who used caste based words

Jalore : People of the Devasi community on Monday met the President of the National Animal Husbandry Association on various demands including lack of regular cleaning system in the hostel of residential Hariyali Vidyalaya, Ahor, appointment of a teacher in the library, removal of a teacher who insulted with caste based words. Protested in front of the Collectorate under the leadership of Lal Singh Dewasi. The protesters submitted a memorandum to the Collector and demanded immediate action on the demands.

National Animal Husbandry Association Lal Singh Dewasi said – Before the demonstration, students and people of Dewasi community gathered in the hostel located at Tilak Dwar. Then, raising slogans against the administration, they reached in front of the District Collectorate in the form of a rally and a protest was held. Lal Singh Dewasi submitted a memorandum to the District Collector. In which it was told that a video of the students of Hariyali School of Ahor has surfaced on social media. After which, on October 18, he met the school principal and took stock of the arrangements and found many flaws.

He told that there is dirt in the hostel. Bedsheets and mattresses are not being cleaned regularly, due to which children are suffering from skin allergy related diseases. There is no water in the bathroom and lack of cleanliness. Only dal and roti are always being given for lunch in the afternoon. The library has been converted into a dining room. There is no arrangement for studies there, there is a shortage of books. Whereas the teacher who uses caste and derogatory words to the students should be investigated and he should be removed from the school. The district administration assured appropriate action in the matter.
