Demand raised to dismiss policemen accused of assault in Jhunjhunu Surajgarh

Jhunjhunu : Jhunjhunu Villagers’ protest in front of the police station over the dispute between villagers and police in Surajgarh’s Parsa Ka Bass continued for the second day. The villagers demanded the release of innocent people caught by the police and action against the guilty policemen. Before this, the villagers remained on dharna the whole night. BSP District President of Churu district Deiram Meghwal, Kailash Das Maharaj, Rajesh Kumar and others also addressed the people sitting on dharna. Accusing the policemen of misbehaving with women and picking up innocent people from the village, bringing them to the police station and beating them, he demanded that a case be filed against the guilty policemen and their dismissal. Also raised the demand to release innocent people.

Let us tell you that on Sunday night there was a dispute between the villagers and the police who reached Parsa Ka Bass on information about illegal sale of liquor. They broke the glass of the police jeep by pelting stones at the policemen. The villagers alleged that the policemen misbehaved with the women and ran the vehicle in reverse at high speed, hitting three villagers. Police had arrested seven people including two women in the case.
