Karauli News Desk: Villagers are sitting on strike in Khijuri village of Surauth demanding various demands. In which the main demand is that the record of 132 KV GSS running in the village should be recorded in Khijuri village instead of Dhindhora. Along with this, demands for construction of 33 KV sub-station, supply of electricity during day time for agricultural purposes and separate electricity feeder for Khijuri village are also included.
People participating in the protest said that the protest is continuing since November 16 regarding these demands. In which Deputy Sarpanch Samay Singh and Dashrath Singh told that the construction work of 132 KV GSS approved by the state government is being done on the land under village Khijuri. Whose 132 KV GSS Dhindora was kept in the record. The villagers are opposing the said record. The villagers are demanding 132 KV GSS, Khijuri. He said that in this regard, through the SDM, he has already given a memorandum to the Chief Minister, Minister of Electricity Department and officials about the demand. The villagers said that they are involved in the protest. Junior engineers of the electricity department arrived two days ago to talk to the people. But no concrete assurance was given. Many people including Dashrath Singh, Raman Dagur, Samay Singh Deputy Sarpanch, Sumer Singh, Hari Singh, Tej Singh, Jawahar Singh, Surendra, Rambabu Laxman Singh Ramsingh Jatav, Nahar are involved in the protest.
