Jodhpur : Jodhpur Local citizens submitted a memorandum to the GM and DRM demanding the resumption of the Intercity Express passing through Phalodi. This train operated regularly before the Corona period, but after being closed during the pandemic, it has not been restarted till now. Social worker Prakash Sain told that the intercity train used to leave from Phalodi Junction at 6-7 pm and reach Jaipur in the morning and Delhi in the afternoon the next day. This train was very useful for the passengers of Phalodi, because by this the passengers could reach Jaipur in the morning and return back to Phalodi at night after completing the day’s work. The change in operation of this train since the Corona period is causing a lot of inconvenience to the passengers.
Current Status: At present the timing of Runecha Express and Ranikhet Express passing through Phalodi is 6 am, due to which they reach Jaipur in the afternoon. By then government offices are closed, due to which travelers have to stay in Jaipur for a night. This is leading to more consumption of both time and money as well as travel.

Intercity Train: The Jaisalmer-Delhi intercity rail service operated before the Corona period should be restarted.
Change in timing of Runecha Express: Runecha Express (14088) should be run on Jaipur route and its timing should be changed.
Timings of Leelan Express: The arrival time of Leelan Express at Phalodi should be 6-7 pm.
New option: At least one such train service should be started which can reach Jaipur in the morning, so that the passengers can get the facility to complete their work on time.
It has been emphasized in the memorandum that immediate steps should be taken to provide better rail facilities to the passengers. Local people have expressed hope that the Railway Administration will take their problems seriously and take necessary action in this direction.
