Raising a question through a slip during zero hour in the assembly, the MLA said- In the year 1965, RIICO had developed 22 Godown, Sudarshanpura, Kartarpura and Sudarshanpura Extension Industrial Area in Jaipur on a lease of 90 years. But now all these industrial areas have come up amidst the dense population of Jaipur city. At that time, 180 units were set up on 28.85 acres of land in Kartarpura. 95 units were set up on 17.07 acres of land in Sudarshanpura, 150 units were set up on 14.71 acres of land in Sudarshanpura Extension and 184 units were set up on 30 acres of land in 22 Godown.
Difficulty in transportation of raw and finished goods
The MLA said- Since these industrial units are located in densely populated areas, there is a lot of problem in the movement of raw and finished goods. Because the movement of heavy vehicles is banned in the city limits from 6 am to 11 pm.
More damage than a fire incident
The MLA said- When these industrial units were built, the width of the roads was kept less than 30 feet. Whenever there is a fire incident here, there are many problems in reaching the fire brigade and ambulance. In view of this, it is now necessary to shift these units to industrial areas located outside the cities.
Conversion of land for commercial use
The MLA demanded commercial conversion of the vacant land after shifting these industrial areas. On this, the Industry Minister replied saying- the biggest challenge is that the land comes on lease to RIICO. Due to this, RIICO is banned from changing the land use. Also, the Supreme Court has banned RIICO from changing the land use in a case.
