Demand to start Bharatpur gas based power plant

Bharatpur : Local MLA Dr. Ritu Banawat has written a letter to Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar to solve the problem of frequent tripping and low voltage of electricity being given to farmers for agricultural work in Bayana Assembly constituency. It has been told in the letter that a 330 MW gas based power plant has been established by the state government in the nearby district Dholpur, which is currently closed due to high production unit rate. By starting this power plant, agricultural electricity of adequate voltage will be available to the farmers.

Rabi crop season is at its peak and farmers are in dire need of water to irrigate crops in the fields. Farmers are getting only 200-250 voltage instead of 440 volts. Due to low voltage, farmers’ electric pump sets are not running properly. Due to this, many times farmers are facing financial loss due to burning of electric motor. Apart from this, problem of tripping and fault also arises again and again. For quick solution to the low voltage problem of farmers, the problem of low voltage can be easily solved at the state government level by starting the 330 MW gas based power plant located at Dholpur by the Energy Department.

It is written in the letter that even before this, the problem of low voltage electricity of the farmers was solved by the state government by starting this gas based power plant established in Dholpur in Eastern Rajasthan. In view of the power shortage, in the present circumstances it is very important to start the Dholpur power plant soon. By doing this, the problems of the farmers will be solved quickly.
