Dausa News Desk: People demonstrated on Monday against the Samravata incident in Dausa. He also demanded the release of Naresh Meena, the independent candidate from Deoli-Uniara (Tonk), who slapped the SDM. People gathered in front of Dausa Collectorate raised slogans in the presence of Dhariyavad MLA Thawarchand Damor, MP’s Diyar MLA Kamlesh Chand, Bagidoura MLA Jaikrishna Patel, State Congress members Surendra Gurjar, Banwari Santha and Soumya Meena and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister.
During this period, STF personnel were deployed along with the police for security. The protesting people said that the police attacked women, elderly and children in Samravata village. This should be investigated and Naresh Meena should be released soon. It was said in the memorandum that action should be taken against the guilty officers. Innocent people should be released immediately. To establish peace and create a fear-free environment in the village, people made many demands including removal of policemen, taking action against Naresh Meena in the case registered during the elections, compensation for the loss caused to the villagers, helping the injured.
