Dausa : People of Kalwan village, who have been facing drinking water problem for the last one month, protested by reaching the water supply department office on Friday. The matter pertains to Sikrai subdivision area of Dausa district, where the people submitted a memorandum protesting for the second time regarding the demand for water.
Despite repeated movements by the villagers demanding drinking water, the water supply department has not come into action. Due to this, the problem of the people remains the same. In such a situation, there is anger among the people due to the slow functioning of the sub-division administration due to public issues, but no one is listening.
In fact, the drinking water supply from the tank built in Kalwan village has come to a standstill for the last one month. Here, the private employees engaged under Jal Jeevan Mission have stopped the supply due to not getting their payment. Due to which people have to wander from door to door for water.
The women who came to protest said that when they complained about the problem to the public representatives, they were demanding money in return for providing water. One has to worry a lot for every drop of water. During this, people protested against the water supply department by raising slogans.
As soon as information about this was received, SDM Navneet Kumar sent the XEN of the water supply department and the development officer of the Panchayat Samiti to the spot and gave instructions for quick solution to the problem. After which both the officers reached the spot. Let us tell you that on November 29, the people here had protested by waving empty utensils under the tank.
