Alwar News Desk: The anger of the villagers, angry over the delay in police action in the case of rape of a minor in a village in Kotkasim police station area near Alwar Bhiwadi, erupted on Thursday. At 11 am, hundreds of villagers sat on strike in front of the SDM court. The villagers alleged that despite a month having passed since the incident, the Kotkasim police station officer did not take any action. The protest included former BJP MLA Ramhet Yadav, former sarpanch Pandit Ved Prakash Sharma, Dinesh Yadav, Pooja Yadav and former deputy head Sudhir Yadav. A large number of villagers were present. He demanded an investigation against the Kotkasim police station officer and appealed for the arrest of all the accused in the case as soon as possible.
Gave 7 days ultimatum to police
The villagers warned the police that if all the accused were not arrested within 7 days, there would be a violent agitation by protesting and blocking the road in front of the SDM court.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, a large number of police forces were called and deployed from Khairthal Police Lines. Khairthal Additional SP Ratanlal Bhargava reached the spot and met the villagers who were protesting. He assured that all the accused will be arrested soon and strict action will also be taken against the police station officer for delaying the investigation of the case.

The villagers told in the memorandum that on November 1, the victim’s father had registered a case against the accused Tej Pratap and Gaurav Kumar under the POCSO Act. Despite this, the Kotkasim police station officer did not take any action. Khairthal SP Ratanlal Bhargava said that one accused has been arrested on Thursday morning, while police teams have been sent to arrest the other accused. He assured that all the accused will soon be arrested and sent to jail. Besides, strict action will also be taken against the officers responsible for delaying the investigation.
