Jaipur : Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari directed the officials of the Medical Department to immediately start the construction work of the satellite hospital to be built in Vidyadhar Nagar Assembly constituency and complete the work on time. She gave these instructions in a meeting held in the presence of Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh at the Government Secretariat. Officials of the Medical and Health Department said that the DPR work of the newly built 100-bed satellite hospital will be completed in the next one month and the construction work of the hospital will be completed by June 2026. This construction will be done in place of the land of Jhotwara Panchayat Samiti Bhawan. Land has been allotted for the Panchayat Samiti building and an amount of Rs 5 crore has also been allocated to the Panchayati Raj Department for the construction of the building. It is worth noting that approval for 100 posts and man with machine has also been issued for the hospital.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials of the Medical Department that if the satellite hospital can be run in a rented building till the building of the hospital is constructed, then it should be tested and started immediately so that better medical facilities can be made available to the people. The Medical and Health Department placed a demand before the Deputy Chief Minister in the meeting to make provision of additional budget for additional civil works and other works in the IPD Tower.
On this, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials of the Finance Department to approve the amount immediately. In the meeting, the officials informed that an amount of Rs 100 crore for various centrally sponsored medical and health schemes and Rs 37 crore for parking and other additional civil works in IPD Tower will be approved immediately. During this, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials to immediately take action to upgrade Harmara, Nindrad PSC, Urban Primary Health Center Phase Nadi II to CHC.
He also directed to upgrade Kanwatia Hospital. The Medical and Health Minister instructed the officials that Vidyadhar Nagar is far from SMS Hospital and a large population resides there, so a special plan should be prepared to strengthen medical services in that area. Immediately work on a plan to open big medical institutions in Sikar Road and other areas so that better medical facilities can be made available to the people.
