Jaipur : Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa has sought a report in 15 days from the high level expert committee constituted for the reorganization of new districts. Instructions have been given to submit its report on all practical points in 15 days.
The value proposition of forming new districts should not be politically motivated
Premchand Bairwa said that it should be made clear that the main objective of formation of new districts should not be politically motivated but should be based on public interest. Premchand Bairwa was chairing a meeting with the Revenue Department at the Secretariat on Monday. Public Health Engineering Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, Revenue Department Principal Secretary Dinesh and departmental officers were present on this occasion.
Bhajan Lal formed a committee regarding the reorganization of districts
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved the formation of a committee regarding the reorganization of districts in the state. The committee was formed under the chairmanship of former IAS Lalit K Panwar. This committee will submit its report to the cabinet sub-committee regarding the reorganization of new districts.
The Gehlot government had reorganized 17 new districts and three divisions
The previous Ashok Gehlot government had reorganized 17 new districts and three divisions. This was recommended by the Ram Lubhaya Committee. The BJP was opposing the reorganization of new districts. Now after the coming of the Rajasthan BJP government, it has decided to review the administrative requirements, financial resources and other points of the newly formed districts. Recently, a cabinet sub-committee has also been formed in this regard. The newly formed committee will submit its report to the cabinet sub-committee.

Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa has been made the convener of the cabinet sub-committee formed to complete the process of formation of new districts. Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary, Minister Hemant Meena and Minister Suresh Singh Rawat have been made members. The administrative department of the committee will be the Revenue Department and its member secretary will be the Additional Chief Secretary/Administration Secretary of the Revenue Department. Now this committee will prepare its report on the formation of new districts and submit it to the government.
