After this, it is now coming to light that senior students in ESIC Medical College are harassing junior students in the name of ragging. However, the college administration is taking strict action to stop ragging. Anti-ragging committee has also been formed for this. Despite this, the incidents of ragging have not been curbed. According to the information, senior students are ragging their juniors by making them look like cocks and removing their clothes. Apart from being treated disrespectfully, they are also being abused.
Ragging by calling people out of hostel: Senior students call first year students and call them out of the hostel. After this they are being ragged in the college campus. According to the information, a case of ragging had come to light in ESIC Medical College about 20-25 days ago. On this complaint, some senior students were suspended by the college administration. Regarding this also, junior students are being threatened by senior students. Due to this, now junior students are hesitant in even complaining to the college administration.
Concern of family members also increased
The families of junior students are also worried due to physical and mental torture in the name of ragging. He told that the seniors are harassing the children. We are worried. The college administration should take some steps in this direction.
Instructions of NMC, UGC and Supreme Court: According to the guidelines of NMC and UGC and the instructions of the Supreme Court, if any student in any college, institute or hostel is commented on the basis of his appearance or dress, which hurts his self-respect or is harassed by calling him strange names. If done then it will be considered ragging. Apart from this, calling a student derogatory words on the basis of his/her region, language or caste and shaming and insulting a student on the basis of his/her race, family past, economic background are also included in the category of ragging.
